Working Together

The five steps to your dream kitchen

Bringing your dream kitchen to reality, your project can be divided into five stages. Working with you to create a kitchen with the luxury look you want, our designers will bring the very best materials, technology and style into your home while keeping to your budget.

Step one: initial consultation with your designer to create a design brief

Our aim is to get to know you and to understand your thoughts and ideas. Your designer will take you around the showroom explaining the ranges of furniture and storage solutions we can offer. We hope that our exciting selection of door and worktop samples will help feed your imagination with ideas of styles and colours you could have. Most of our appliances on display are working and we will happily give you a demonstration and invite you to try them for yourself. We then help you to create a ‘wish-list’ of appliances, storage solutions and gadgets and from there we work with you to formulate a design brief.

Step two: design development

We will arrange a convenient time to visit your home to take some basic measurements of your kitchen or we can work from scaled or dimensioned drawings to create a preliminary layout.  Using the information we gathered during your initial consultation and home visit we produce at least one design and a price estimate. We will invite you back into the showroom to view the plans and a realistic 3D image, discuss the costs and hear your thoughts.

Step three: the final scheme

After listening to your comments and adjusting the design, a final layout is achieved.  We discuss any further work you may need, such as tiling, plastering or even building work before presenting a detailed quote to include all of your requirements.  If you are happy and want to proceed we will ask you for a deposit to secure your interest.  We then arrange for a final survey to take place with our Installations Manager and a fitter if required.  They will arrive with a copy of the drawings and will ensure that what has been drawn by your designer will fit, that all dimensions are correct, and will advise your designer if any refinements need to be made prior to ordering.  Following the survey an installation date will be mutually agreed.

Step four: installation

Before your new kitchen is installed any other work which you have asked us to do is carried out.  This usually includes things such as removing the old kitchen, tiling the floor or any electrical work.  Your new kitchen is delivered by us when the room is ready for the fitter to get started.  Once the base units are in place your worktops will be templated (unless you are having laminate worktops) and will be manufactured while the rest of the kitchen is being installed.  As soon as they are ready we will arrange a convenient time with you to return and install these.  Throughout the installation process we stay in close contact with you and the fitter to ensure a successful completion.

Step five: the finished kitchen

When the installation of your new kitchen is complete, we will make sure you have all the documents and manuals for the appliances, and make sure you are confident in using them.  We recognise that sometimes new appliances seem daunting so if you would like a demonstration and help to use them we are more than happy to help.  Once you have started using your kitchen it is quite possible that a few adjustments may need making, and if this is the case, we are happy to arrange a time for one of our fitters to rectify any problems.
